With the goal of creating a memorable and functional kitchen to inspire potential buyers, we used the limited palette available to its full potential. The model kitchen needed to be representational of the developer’s standard finish and appliance package. We maintained a modern aesthetic consistent with The Palisades’ image, though using materials and finishes that would appeal to buyers who preferred both contemporary or traditional styles.

From the original layout, we rotated the island 90-degrees to take advantage of dramatic views of the downtown skyline from the kitchen and dining area. Ovens, microwave, and warming drawer were aligned within the casework. Rather than rely on paint, we utilized the nature of materials and their inherent color. Seizing an unexpected opportunity, we captured raised floor space remaining from an elevator override for a wine cellar. The wall above the wet bar can now access this unique “found” amenity.
